Christopher O’Mahony is an Irish-Californian artist based in Los Angeles whose practice investigates the relationships between current events, ancestral history, and the natural world. His upbringing in an immigrant household in Southern California at the dawn of the Light and Space movement influences and propels his process.

O’Mahony’s work has been included in exhibitions at the Museum of Art & History Lancaster, Contemporary Irish Art Center LA, stARTup L.A. representing Los Angeles Art Association, Orange County Center For Contemporary Art, and SCA Project Gallery. He has exhibited public art installations in the Pomona Arts Colony and for the city of Atascadero, California. O’Mahony’s sculptures are also installed in private historic Mid-Century homes in both Palm Desert and Los Angeles.

Chris O’Mahony is a honored Fellow at Kipaipai and member of the Los Angeles Art Association. He currently lives in Glendora, California, with private work studios in San Clemente, California. & Portland, Oregon.
